About Us

Black Sheep Ranch was founded in 2015 and began like much in life—where choices shape paths to the extraordinary, guided by creativity, curiosity, and courage for a truly fulfilling journey.

Introduction

Black Sheep Ranch is committed to raising premium, grass-fed Shetland and Finn sheep in a sustainable and ethical manner. Our mission is to provide high-quality wool, lamb, and breeding stock while maintaining the health and well-being of our flock and the land they graze on. We believe in responsible, regenerative agriculture that prioritizes animal welfare, environmental stewardship, and transparency.

Animal Welfare & Health

Our flock receives the highest level of care, attention, and respect. We adhere to a strict no-unnecessary-treatments policy, ensuring that our sheep remain as natural and healthy as possible. When medical intervention is required, we use only essential, veterinarian-approved treatments that align with our ethical farming philosophy. Our sheep live in a stress-free environment where their well-being is our top priority.

Sustainability & Ethical Practices

Black Sheep Ranch is dedicated to regenerative farming principles that benefit both livestock and the environment. Our rotational grazing practices improve soil fertility, enhance biodiversity, and minimize our ecological footprint. We refrain from using synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides on our pastures. Instead, we harness the natural byproducts of our sheep—manure—to create a regenerative fertilizer that nourishes the soil and sustains a chemical-free ecosystem for our flock and future generations.

Sustainability & Ethical Practices

Our lambs are raised naturally, nurtured by their mother’s milk and thriving on lush, nutrient-rich pastures, promoting strong and healthy development.

Shearing is conducted annually to maintain the health and comfort of our sheep, ensuring they remain cool in warmer months and reducing the risk of parasites.
